Today on Sanibel, residents as well as visitors were found at local grocery stores stocking up on water, ice, and non perishables.

Today many business owners were found to be boarding up their store fronts with boards or with metal window treatment to protect the windows from any flying debris.
Tropical Storm Fay is expected to be a category one storm, the possibility of losing power is a concern. Many went to fill their gas tanks to be sure they had full tanks in case power was to go out or the possibility of the bridge being closed due to high winds. Be sure to have your flashlights, battery operated radios, and batteries available. Be sure to stay tuned for follow reports.
