Sanibel-Captiva Daily

 Sanibel beach was the place to witness the “annual Sanibel National Polar Bear Club swim.” Papa Bear John Carney with the help of Mama Bear Ann McDonnell held this 9th annual event. Hundreds of people, or as they call them “mice,” came out to watch, while 229 “bears” had the courage to take the plunge (by the way, it was 79 degrees today).  Click the photo or below to see these hysterical pictures of a wonderful New Year’s Day. At least they didn’t have to cut through any ice to enjoy a dip in our tropical waters.
