Sandycappers 10  Chalk & Awe 6

Bunt’s Ball Busters 12  George & Wendy’s 4

Bathroom Magic 13  Fresh Legion Crew 3

The Sandycappers moved into fifth place on the strength of their 10-6 win over Chalk & Awe.  Captain Kevin Pottdorf said, “Our goal was fourth place or better in our first year in the League.  The Sanibel Café better watch out because the Sandycappers are on a roll.”

Odd Ball shooter Jimbo Gaubatz managed to fight back the pain of his two cracked ribs and submerged Sanibel Café’s John Earle 4-0 to lead his Odd Ball team to a 11-5 win.  Kelly Greten also went 4-0 for the winners while Odd Ball Tom Hensel picked up a rare reverse 4-0.  The victory puts the Odd Balls only 33 games behind second place Bunt’s Ball Busters with 96 games left in the season.  Odd Ball Captain Kip Buntrock emphasized that his team “still has a chance due to the advanced age of the Bunt’s shooters who seem to be faltering in the stretch.”

Bathroom Magic Captain Dennis Bender led his team to a resounding 13-3 victory over Fresh Legion Crew.  Bender had a perfect 4-0 as did his teammate John Gonzalez.  Sanibel Café’s Pete Mindel produced the only other 4-0 match of the night.
