Hole In One, Golf on Sanibel Island Lori Thompson is possibly the best golfer on Sanibel Island! The other day Lori hit a Hole In One, the historical moment happened on the sunny day of May 24th, 2009 at Beachview Golf and Tennis club. Here is how eye witnesses described what they said was the best moment of THEIR lives! The anonymous people couldn’t believe their luck of baring witness to a magical moment in time. “Well, I was just playing the front 9 when my partner and I came behind Lori Thompson and Dawn Carey on the 6th hole. It seemed like any other day until Lori approached the green and time began to slow down! It appeared as though she was levitating above the ground. Then I saw her face, suddenly chills ran throughout my body when I saw the intensity in Lori’s eyes. When she swayed her angelic brown hair to the side, the sight was more priceless than the Mona Lisa. The rays of light seemed to form a golden hallo around Lori; as if this was her destiny. Alligators and Iguanas ran off the course as if mother nature spoke. As Lori started her back stroke, it was like King Arthur pulling Excalibur from the stone, but more epic. While her magnificent driver was swinging through the air, what appeared to be a flock of golden pelicans from the heavens flew over the fairway. When the club made contact with the ball, it was like a super nova just happened. The “ping” was like hearing birth of the universe. I don’t know where it came from, but the sound of angels playing harps filled my ears when the ball left the tee. That’s when I shed my first tear.
Once the pink ball came back from the stratosphere and into the hole, the harps stopped as the horns started. This is what Nirvana must feel like, I thought to myself. Once I comprehended what just happened, I suddenly had a euphoric feeling take over my body as I fell to my knees in awe. I suddenly knew the meaning of life at that moment. It was not only Lori’s fate but my own, to see the world become that much of a better place.”
